LinkedIn Font Generator
LinkedIn does not offer a text editor for your bio or posts, but it does accept Unicode, which is exactly what this generator produces.

About the LinkedIn Font Generator
Bold, italic, and styled characters paste cleanly into your headline, About section, and post body, giving you the visual hierarchy the platform was never designed to provide.
The trick professionals use: bold a sub-heading or a key phrase inside a long post to break it into scannable sections. Readers skimming on mobile stop at a bolded word the same way they stop at a heading. Type it here, copy it, and paste it in: the formatting survives resharing and cross-device viewing because it is text, not an image or a rich-text feature.

Step by step
How to use the LinkedIn Font Generator
Type your text, pick a style, copy it, and paste it wherever you want LinkedIn fonts.
Type your text
Type or paste your text into the box at the top of the page. Every style updates live as you type, so you are previewing your own words rather than a sample.
Pick a style
Scroll the list and find a style you like. Use the search box to filter by name, or the "only styles people can still search for" toggle if the text needs to stay findable.
Copy it
Press Copy on that style. The styled text goes to your clipboard exactly as shown, including any spacing or marks.
Paste it
Paste it wherever you need it. Because the styling is built from real Unicode characters, it travels with the text into apps that give you no font settings of their own.
Get it right
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
- Use bold for one or two key phrases per post section, not for entire paragraphs. A wall of bold text loses the emphasis that makes bold useful.
- Your headline is 220 characters and appears in search results and connection requests, where a single bolded word at the start of it stands out in a list of plain-text headlines.
- Italic works well for job titles, company names, or an aside (the same contexts where you would italicise in a Word document).
Common mistakes
- Styling your actual name in the Name field. LinkedIn has a real-name policy and may flag accounts with heavily decorated names. Use styled text in the Headline and About fields instead.
- Overusing bold in every post. One or two bolded phrases read as intentional emphasis; five or six read as someone who found a button they liked.
- Forgetting that the LinkedIn mobile app wraps posts to three lines before a "see more" break. Put any styled emphasis in the first three lines where it is visible without a tap.

- LinkedIn Font Generator: What Styled Text Does to Search, Parsing, and Screen ReadersLinkedIn accepts Unicode styled text in headlines, posts, and the About section—but recruiters search by keyword, applicant tracking systems parse plain text, and screen readers announce Mathematical Bold letter by letter. Here's what that costs you.
- How to Bold Text on LinkedIn (and Where It Actually Works)LinkedIn has no native bold button for most profile fields and posts. Unicode bold characters fill that gap and paste in cleanly. Here is exactly where they work and where they do not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use bold or italic text in LinkedIn posts?
Yes. LinkedIn accepts the full Unicode range in posts, headlines, and the About section. This generator swaps plain letters for their Unicode bold or italic equivalents, which paste into LinkedIn and render on both desktop and mobile exactly as they appear in the preview here.
Will styled Unicode text hurt my LinkedIn reach or algorithmic ranking?
LinkedIn has not published evidence that Unicode styling penalises reach. Overuse of any formatting that makes a post harder to read tends to reduce engagement naturally, but a bolded phrase or an italic sentence in an otherwise plain post carries no documented penalty.
Can I style my LinkedIn profile URL or @username?
No. Your LinkedIn profile URL (linkedin.com/in/yourname) only accepts letters, numbers, and hyphens. Unicode characters are not allowed there. Use styled text in your Headline, About section, and posts, none of which have that restriction.
Does bold Unicode text count against LinkedIn's character limits?
Yes, the same as plain text. Each styled character is still one Unicode code point, so a bold letter counts as one character, the same as its plain equivalent. LinkedIn's headline allows 220 characters and posts allow 3,000 characters; styled text uses the same budget as unstyled.
Is the LinkedIn Font Generator free to use?
Yes. The LinkedIn Font Generator is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits on how much text you convert or how many times you copy it.
